Designated Driver, Inc (DDI) impostors

It has been brought to our attention that there are Designated Driver, Inc (DDI) impostors working in the Fayetteville area.  Not only did these unscrupulous people take a customers money they left him stranded (inebriated) in the boonies of the Parkton area having to drive himself the rest of the way home.

Don't risk getting yourself into a possibly dangerous situation.  DDI Drivers always wear the familiar gold shirt with monogrammed DDI in black. Look for the Designated Driver, Inc light on top of the vehicle.
If you have any doubts always call the Designated Driver, Inc dispatcher @ 910.488.9451 to verify your drivers identity.

Our goal at DDI is not only to keep our roads safe, but to ensure the safety of our customer as well. www.deisgnateddriverinc.com

Designated Driver

From a story in Tuesday's edition of the Fayetteville Observer: A California couple allowed a thirteen year old boy to drive them home after they had had too much to drink. They each had several DUI's between them and thought having him drive them home would help avoid another DUI. It turned out not to be the best plan of action....duh.

If you want a professional designated driver contact us 910.488.9451 or www.deisgnateddriverinc.com we will get you home NO DUI Guaranteed.

Booze It & Lose It campaign

Fayetteville Observer posted 21 AUG 09
The Labor Day "Booze It & Lose It'' campaign begins today and continues through Sept. 7.
The campaign marks the 15th anniversary of the effort to crack down on impaired drivers.
"Under no circumstance is drinking and driving acceptable in North Carolina," Gov. Bev Perdue said in a release. "For 15 years, the 'Booze It & Lose It' initiative has played a critical role in protecting our citizens by educating the public and cracking down on impaired driving. We'll keep using this life-saving campaign as a tool to enforce our state's anti-drinking and driving laws."
Last year in North Carolina, there were 11,968 alcohol-related crashes resulting in 433 fatalities and 9,263 injuries.
The initiative, which began in 1994, targets impaired drivers with innovative and extensive anti-driving while impaired enforcement and education.
Since 1994, law enforcement agencies have conducted more than 194,000 checkpoints and patrols resulting in more than 103,000 driving while impaired citations.
Additional checkpoints and patrols will be conducted across the state throughout the campaign.

When you are ready for a Designated Driver to drive you home in your own car call us

drinking and driving

Here are some interesting statistics taken from an article on AOL by Lisa A. Flam, the article is titled: "Experts: Women are drinking more, DUIs are up"

"Women in the U.S. are drinking more, and drunken-driving arrests among women are rising rapidly while falling among men.
Men still drink more than women and are responsible for more drunken-driving cases. But the gap is narrowing, and among the reasons cited are that women are feeling greater pressures at work and home, they are driving more, and they are behaving more recklessly.
"Younger women feel more empowered, more equal to men, and have been beginning to exhibit the same uninhibited behaviors as men," said Chris Cochran of the California Office of Traffic Safety.
Another possible reason cited for the rising arrests: Police are less likely to let women off the hook these days.
Nationwide, the number of women arrested for driving under the influence or alcohol or drugs was 28.8 percent higher in 2007 than it was in 1998, while the number of men arrested was 7.5 percent lower, according to FBI figures that cover about 56 percent of the country.
"There's the impression out there that drunk driving is strictly a male issue, and it is certainly not the case," said Rae Tyson, spokesman for the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. "There are a number of parts of the country where, in fact, the majority of impaired drivers involved in fatal crashes are female."

A funny article late-night call to German police about a dead animal blocking traffic turned out to be an unharmed drunk badger, TheLocal.de reported. When police got to the site to move the animal, they found the badger uninjured, awake and unafraid, the story said. The police realized the badger had been dining on overripe cherries from a nearby tree, and was intoxicated by them. The officers helped the badger out of traffic and into a meadow where he could sleep it off, according to TheLocal. Hmmm...too bad badgers can't drive he could have called DDI to drive him home and save himself the embarrassment!

DUIs in Fayetteville, NC

In the Fort Bragg Newspaper last week I read in the crimes section that they caught 12 people driving while intoxicated on post and 3 off post. With evedrything at stake is $25 to much to have Designated Driver inc drive you in your car to your place residents. Think of the money it will cost when you get caught or worse if some get injured. All you have to do is contact us at 910-488-9451 or go to www.designateddriverinc.com Just remember we are not a taxi, you must have your car to use our services

June 19 2009

Today the Paraglide published an article about our service to the military community. The only thing is the reporter called the service a taxi and we are far from a taxi, we drive you in your car. A taxi picks you up in a car and your car stays behind. Please read more at www.designateddriverinc.com. We were hoping that the article in the paraglide would get us some good publicity but after getting called a taxi service, it could confuse people even more about how the service works.

Fayetteville NC Designated Driver, Inc.

Designated Driver, inc. Fayetteville, NC was really hopping all day yesterday! We met a lot of great blues lovers at the annual Blues and Brews event hosted at Festival Park in downtown Fayetteville. The music was superb; we didn't get the opportunity to taste any of the great beers though since we were there to drive the blues lovers home! LOL

The party goers continued having a good time in downtown Fayetteville by carrying their beer-tasting over to the fine establishments like Husk House, Charley's @ the Prince Charles, The Keys Piano Bar, B&B Tavern; we were kept busy all evening.

It was great to see our regular customers and meet so many new ones having such a good time. We are glad that Fayetteville party-goers are conscientious enough to remember to drink responsibly! The taxi's had a heyday. There were so many cars left downtown at the end of the evening. If you don't have your car with you call a taxi, but if you have your car with you and don't want to leave it behind please call us to get you and your car home safely.

Please have a great time enjoying Fayetteville night life and then call us @ DDI to get you and your car home safe. Designated Driver, Inc. (910) 488-9451, www.designateddriverinc.com

Holiday DUI check points

Last night we managed to get everybody home who called to use the  service. We didn't see too many road blocks, but we did go through a couple of them at major intersections.  Every time a team went through a check point there was another person doing the field sobriety test. For the small amount of money it costs to use the service it makes no sense to get a DUI in Fayetteville, North Carolina all you have to do is call 910-488-9451 or the check the web site www.designateddriverinc.com
